About Public Toilet Finder
Public Toilet Finder is a free, open, signup-free map of public toilets — built so that you never again have to do the awkward "where's the nearest one?" search in an unfamiliar city.
It runs entirely in your browser. There is no account to create, no app to install, no data we keep about you. Tap your location on the map and the nearest pin is right there.
What you get
- ~520 public toilets in Slovenia, plus tens of thousands more across 200+ countries — drawn from OpenStreetMap, the world's open map dataset.
- Cleanliness reviews from other visitors so you know what to expect before you walk over.
- Walking directions from where you are right now.
- Filters for free, paid, wheelchair-accessible, baby-changing-friendly and more.
- Opening hours and access info when the OSM data has them.
Why it exists
Finding a clean public toilet shouldn't be a guessing game, especially when travelling, when caring for kids, or when managing a chronic condition. Existing apps either hide the map behind a signup wall, list only paid venues, or stop at country borders. Public Toilet Finder works in any country with OSM data — which means just about everywhere.
We use the same map tiles, routing engine, and base data that power thousands of other open-source projects. See the Data sources page for full credits.
Free forever — donations welcome
Public Toilet Finder is and always will be free to use. No paywall, no ads, no premium tier, no email harvesting. Map tiles, hosting, the database, and the search APIs all cost real money, and so far they come out of one person's pocket.
If the app saved you an awkward moment and you'd like to chip in towards the running costs, donations of any size are very much appreciated — even a few euros covers a meaningful chunk of a month's hosting bill. You can tip the project on Ko-fi; one-off, no signup required, no recurring charge.
